Caravan Of Courage: Sydney Pop Up Wine Bar
The New Generation Hunter Valley ‘Caravan Of Courage’ pop up bar in Sydney last night was everything that it promised to be: an curious mix of culture, people, art and music… and of course the star attraction – and seemingly endless flow of some amazing Hunter Valley wines.
Set against a very funky backdrop (Ambush Art Gallery in Waterloo), a $30 ticket had each guest sampling as many wines as they could fit in a 3 hour period. **Note from tastebuds/stomach – start on white & finish with red!
With graffiti on the walls, the Big Green Caravan parked outside, a band playing in the corner & some fairly tipsy winemakers floating around filling up glasses, you couldn’t help but feel right at home.
Cheers to these 6 Winemakers & all the other brains invloved in this operation – it’s so fabulous to see an initiative that aims to make wine culture to accessible to young people.
We need more events like these! Down-to-earth wine tasting, without the stumbling block of ‘wine wank’ that’s so off-putting to someone just seeking a good bottle to enjoy with their food.
Good luck with the rest of the journey & please come again soon!
